Luis de Garrido has developed in recent years a breakthrough concept in architecture called "artificial natures." An artificial ecological system (which includes the universe of artifacts and man-made buildings) that has its own rules and that is parallel to the natural ecological system. He is a Dr. Architect by the Valencia Technical College, computer Doctor by the MIT in Massachusetts in the United States, and Master in Urban Management from the Technical University of Barcelona. He has received several awards such as: ACCESIT prize in the international competition of urban and regional planning, award Thirty Nine, awarded twice (along with 38 other architects) in the International Architecture Competition "39" at the University of California. The competition aimed to identify, expose and publish the 39 best projects of the 39 best architects in the world that had less than 39 years. Also awarded the Future Home granted by the prefecture of Tokyo - Yokohama, contest aimed to propose new sustainable housing types in the information age. He has also published several books such as Project Analysis Sustainable Architecture Artificial Nature, R4House: Reuse, Recover, Recycle and Reason, among other examples relating to sustainable architecture.
